GRC Project: Xinhai Revolution Museum
Project location: Wuhan, Hubei
Design unit: Design party: CITIC Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd
GRC material area: 11000 square meters
Project Overview: This project is a themed museum built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution and the Wuchang Uprising. The project is located on the south side of Shouyi Square in Wuchang District, Wuhan City. The exterior walls of the building are made of red, and the walls are made of Shengfan GRC hanging board material. This large-scale, continuous and irregular surface texture, with a maximum concave and convex of 25cm, is the first GRC exterior wall with a strong sculptural feel in China. GRC hanging board is an environmentally friendly recycled material that uses waste stone powder and slag as raw materials to turn waste into treasure; The lightweight and high-strength performance greatly reduces the amount of concrete used, and its low-carbon and environmentally friendly characteristics are more in line with the spiritual characteristics of the "two oriented society". Compared with dry hanging granite exterior walls, GRC hanging panels can reduce the size of structural components, and according to statistics, the concrete consumption is reduced by about 300m ³, Save about 160t of steel.
